About us
We are two sisters from Ostrava who decided to fulfill their dream. Even though we each live in different places, our common passion is travel and fashion. From a young age we traveled with our family and later alone or together. Last year 2023, we went together to our favorite island of Malta, where the idea for a joint business was born in our heads. But let's start from the beginning...
Since we don't mind traveling with hand luggage, we thought we would appreciate having a piece of clothing that we can use in multiple ways and occasions and doesn't take up so much space in our suitcase. At that moment, we had an idea and we started searching. We found exactly what we imagined abroad - it was a scarf that you can tie in x different ways and you can create a lot of beautiful outfits from it. Unfortunately, it was not possible to order the product in the Czech Republic, so we decided to have the scarf made here in the Czech Republic. When we had the first piece, we liked it so much that we thought it would be a shame not to share it with others. At that moment, our dream of a joint clothing brand began to come true.
About NOOK scarves
When choosing the fabric, it was important for us that the scarf was made of a pleasant, elastic, non-wrinkle and quick-drying fabric. Therefore, we did not underestimate the search and searched for several months before we found what we were looking for. The entire scarf is then created by hand by skilled seamstresses in the Czech Republic.
After choosing the fabric, the next big step followed and what our brand name would be. In the end, we were inspired by ourselves and the name NOOK style was born. Our sisterly connection is expressed by the two letters "o" symbolizing infinity - like our sisterly bond that is endless. And the letters “N” and “K” are meant to represent our names Nikol & Kate. When we put all this together, the name NOOK style was born.
We are really excited to provide women with a multi-functional and practical piece that will make their outfit choices easier and make them feel comfortable and feminine.
Niky lives half in Malta and half in Czech, where she also graduated from the University. She is currently engaged in business. At NOOK, she is in charge of web administration and finances. The favorite color of the scarf is green and her favorite tie is on a "Butterfly" or a skirt.
Kate, who you may know from social networks, settled in Brno, where she graduated from university and works in marketing. At NOOK, she is in charge of the aforementioned marketing and order processing. Katya's favorite scarf color is pink and her favorite tie is on "Aphrodite" or a skirt.
